For over 100 years, Bethesda Lutheran Communities has been committed to supporting people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. We welcome you to come alongside us as a Bethesda Ambassador to help further our mission, “To enhance the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through services that share the good news of Jesus Christ.”
The Bethesda Ambassadors, working together with other Bethesda staff in Development and Religious Life, exist to promote Bethesda’s mission and ministry to and with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our goal is to increase the awareness of Bethesda’s work among congregations and congregational members of all ages, build connections to Bethesda’s ministry and the people we serve and ultimately to generate increased financial support of our work. Bethesda Ambassadors accomplish this by:
Bethesda Ambassadors work in all 50 states across the country and are active members of their communities. Pastors, Deaconesses, church leaders and staff and college students are eligible to apply to become a Bethesda Ambassador and bring the message and mission of Bethesda to share with churches in their area. Bethesda Ambassadors share information and updates about Bethesda’s work and invite people to become a part of the mission in a variety of ways.
