As a Bethesda Shared Living provider, you share our high standards of quality and appreciate our joint mission to enhance the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. To be approved, you must meet key criteria, including a background check and insurance minimums, as well as having email access. We will work closely with you to help you through the application process.
Once that is complete, we will help find the right match for you. In the case of a Host Home Provider, this will include a review of your home to ensure it is safe and can accommodate the needs of the person you will support.
Bethesda understands the success of a shared living relationship depends on the time and effort dedicated to finding the right match between the person and the shared living provider. Considerable time is spent upfront in the matching process, including meet-and-greets and overnight stays. This allows for further exploration of how the mutual relationship might work best.
